The Conneccticut Virtuosi and Lyric Opera will present “Giulio Cesare in Egitto” starting on May 6, 2022.

The showcase will star Madison Marie McIntosh and Rebecca Batista de Almeida in the title role. As Cleopatra, audiences will hear Kelly Whitesell and Olivia Wallace. Meanwhile the role of Cornelia will go to Julie Rumbold while. Rachel Andrews takes on Sesto. Samuel Bowen will star as Tolomeo, Ivan Conrad will be Achilla, Steve Fasano will be Curio, and SarahAnn Duffy will interpret the role of Nirena.

Adrian Sylveen conducts and Alan Mann directs.

The opening night showcase is set for Trinity-On-Main in New Britain with the May 15 performance set for the Garde Art Center in New London. The final performance, scheduled for May 22, 2022, will be presented at Seaverns Hall, The Bushnell at Hartford.
