The 12th Concurso Internacional de Canto Lírico “Germans Pla-Ciutata de Balaguer” has announced its schedule and jury.

The final of the competition is set for Oct. 18 and 19, 2025. The winner of first prize walks away with 4000€, while the second prize gets 2000€ and the third prize gets 1000€.

There will also be several other special prizes, including performance opportunities and remuneration.

This year’s journey includes mezzo-soprano and professor at ESMUC Mireia Pintó; soprano and professor at the Conversatory del Liceu Marta Matheu; composer and conductor Pedro Pardo; Gran Teatre del Liceu casting coordinator Albert Castells; pianist and Associació Cultural Grup d’Art 4 de Balaguer president Montserrat Cots; artistic director of the Fundación Ópera en Cataluña Jordi Torrents; and jury secretary Xavier Sumalla.
