Concorso Renata Tebaldi Announces 2024 Winners

First prize went to baritone Matteo Mancini who performed Rossini’s “Largo al factotum” from “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.” Meanwhile second prize went to soprano Altynbek Aigerim who performed Puccini’s “Senza mamma” from “Suor Angelica.”
The third prize was taken by Lydia Hoen Tjore for her interpretation of Rossini’s “Bel raggio lusinghier” from “Semiramide.” The soprano also won the Critics Prize and the Audience Prize.
The study prize for a finalist went to soprano Mariam Suleiman and the study prize for an emerging voice was awarded to Korean soprano Hyemyung Kim.
The other finalists of the competition were soprano Hannah Edmunds, bass Hyukwoo Kwon, baritone Seungwoo Sun, soprano Shelén Hughes, and soprano Vanessa Waldhart.
The finals were held at San Marino at the Teatro Concordia on Dec. 20. The orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini was conducted under Nicola Valentini.
