Concorso Internazionale Ottavio Garaventa to Hold 6th Edition

The Concorso Internazionale Ottavio Garaventa is set to hold its sixth edition from Oct. 10-12.

The competition which is open to singers of all ages and nationalities will take place over the course of a weekend and cumulate in a final gala performance. Participants will compete for a first and second prize, the “Garaventa” Award for Best Tenor, “Over 40” and “Promising Young Performer” awards, the “Violetta Valery” Award, “Floria Tosca” Award, and an “Audience Appreciation” prize.

Also taking place is auditions for opera productions organized by APS Voz y Alma – L’Anima dell’Opera. The opera include “La Traviata,” “Tosca,” and “La Bohème,” which will take place next year.

This year’s jury consists of Fabio Armiliato, Giorgji Cuckovski, Marco Camastra, Paolo Andrea Ferrando, Marija Jelic, Giovanni Battista Bergamo, Davide La Bollita and Eddy Lovaglio.

The Concorso Internazionale Ottavio Garaventa is created by APS Voz y Alma – L’anima dell’Opera and sponsored by the Municipality of Genoa as well as supported by the Teatro Carlo Felice of Genoa. Events will be held at the Eugenio Montale Auditorium of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa.
