Cleveland Opera Theater Launches ‘Opera for All Online’ Program

In bringing the performing arts to audiences practicing social distancing at home, Cleveland Opera Theater has launched its “Opera for All Online” program, a series of free events streamed through Zoom and Facebook on during the weekdays.

Here is a look at the what the broadcast will have on offer.

“Opera 101” – A family-friendly discussion and Q&A with Cleveland Opera Theater staff members. Streams Mondays and Fridays, 12:15 pm EST, via Facebook.

“Opera Club” – An open meeting for fans of all ages to discuss all things opera, including selected broadcast performances. Streams Mondays, 5:00 – 6:00 pm, EST, via Zoom.

“Page to Stage” – A behind-the-scenes look into the process of staging an opera production. The stream will include an interactive Q&A with the company’s artistic team to discuss collaborative aspects such as design, production, rehearsals, and more. Streams Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:00 pm, EST, via Zoom.

“Master Classes” – Company staff and guest artists provide online classes on audition prep, language and diction, drama, interpretation, business, and more. While open for all, the class is directed towards conservatory and college-level students as well as recent graduates. Streams Fridays, 6:00 – 7:00 pm, EST, via Zoom.
