Christoph Prégardien & Pauliina Tukiainen to Headline Lieder Recital at LIFE Victoria

Tenor Christoph Prégardien and pianist Pauliina Tukiainen will perform at the LIFE Victoria de Barcelona at Sant Pau Recinte Modernista on Friday, March 13, at 8:00 p.m.

The program draws on the core Lied repertoire of Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms. The first half will open with Schumann’s “Liederkreis,” Op. 24 and will be followed by a selection of Brahms Lieder including “Dein blaues Auge” and “Von ewiger Liebe.” The second half will be devoted to Schubert, culminating in “Nacht und Träume.”

Prégardien is widely regarded as one of the world’s foremost lyric tenors, especially revered as a Lieder singer with recent appearances at Wigmore Hall, the Musikverein Vienna, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg. His discography numbers over 130 titles.

Tukiainen has performed at Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Tonhalle Zurich.
