
Christine Goerke to Give Public Masterclass at Florida Grand Opera
By David SalazarChristine Goerke is set to present an exclusive public masterclass on Feb. 23, 2025, at the Florida Grand Opera.
The event, which kicks off at 2 p.m. at the FIU Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts Concert Hall, will feature performances from Florida Grand Opera Studio artists, including Mary Burke Barber (Mezzo-Soprano), Sydney Dardis (Soprano), Monique Galvão (Mezzo-Soprano), Phillip Lopez (Bass-Baritone), James A. Mancuso (Tenor), and Andrew Payne (Baritone). Goerke will provide feedback to each of the artists.
In addition to Goerke’s appearance with the company, Florida Grand Opera’s 2025 slate is full of opera superstars with a forthcoming production of “Carmen” set to feature the Costa-Jackson sisters this April.
The company recently presented “L’Elisir d’Amore” with a cast starring Jasmine Habersham, Jonah Hoskins, Peixin Chen, and Ricardo José Rivera.
