Christine Goerke, Emily Magee & Susanna Phillips Lead New World Symphony’s 2024-25 Season

The New Word Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2024-25 season. Here is a look at the vocal performances.

Stéphane Denève, Yuval Sharon, and Danielle De Niese team up for Viktor Ullmann’s “The Kaiser of Atlantis” and Kurt Weill’s “The Seven Deadly Sins.”

Performance Date: Oct. 19 & 20, 2024

Xian Zhang conducts music by Rachmaninoff, Holst, and Wagner. The program features pianist Alexander Malofeev and Voices of the Master Chorale of South Florida.

Performance Date: Oct. 26, 2024

Lidiya Yankovskaya conducts Emily Magee and historian James Holland in music by Aaron Copland, Pavel Haas, Dmitri Shostakovich, William Grant Still, Michael Kamen, John Williams, and Richard Strauss.

Performance Dates: Nov. 9 & 10, 202

Amanda Crider performs music by Aaron Copland, Jonathan Bailey Holland, Maurice Delage, Albert Roussel, Maurice Ravel, and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Performance Date: Nov. 17, 2024

Stéphane Denève and Davóne Tines perform Bach, Abels, and a piece by baritone himself entitled “Recital No. 1: MASS.”

Performance Dates: March 8 & 9, 2025

Benjamin Britten’s “War Requiem” will star Christine Goerke, Ian Bostridge, and Roderick Williams. Stéphane Denève conducts the program.

Performance Date: March 15, 2025

Yefim Bronfman and Susanna Phillips join Michael Tilson Thomas in a program of music by Schumann, Beethoven, and Schubert.

Performance Dates: March 29 & 30, 2025

Michael Tilson Thomas conducts a program by Haydn, Berg, and Beethoven with soprano Susanna Philips.

Performance Dates: April 5 & 6, 2025
