The Michigan Opera Theatre has announced the entire cast to its upcoming performance of “Cavalleria Rusticana.”

Christine Goerke, who was previously announced as Santuzza, will be joined by Brian Jagde as Turiddu, Catherine Martin as Lola, Ronnita Miller as Mamma Lucia, and Alfred Walker as Alfio.

The performance will be held at the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre and will be conducted by Jader Bignamini.

“Cavalleria Rusticana” will be performed on June 12, 2021, and is the first performance of the company’s recently announced 2021-22 season. Additionaly, Michigan Opera Theatre is set to perform “Blue” in September, “Frida” in February, “La Bohème” in April, and “X, The Life and Times of Malcolm X” in May. The company will also perform several ballets throughout the season.
