
Christina Gansch, Sarah Connolly, Hilary Cronin, Masabane Cecilia Rangwanasha Headline The Glasshouse & Royal Northern Sinfonia’s 2026–27 Season

Music Director Dinis Sousa conducts Mozart’s “Così fan tutte” with the Chorus of Royal Northern Sinfonia in the first installment of a multi-year Mozart–Da Ponte opera project. The cast features soprano Christina Gansch as Fiordiligi, mezzo-soprano Alexandra Oomens as Dorabella, tenor Jonas Hacker as Ferrando, baritone Cody Quattlebaum as Guglielmo, soprano Rebecca Evans as Despina, and bass Neal Davies as Don Alfonso.

Soprano Claire Booth and violinist Maria Włoszczowska perform Kurtág’s “Kafka Fragments.”

Dinis Sousa conducts Elgar’s “The Dream of Gerontius” with the Chorus of Royal Northern Sinfonia, Voices of the River’s Edge, and massed musical forces from across the North East as part of the Share the Stage series. Guest soloists include mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly, tenor Benjamin Hulett, and baritone Roderick Williams. Tim Burke serves as chorus director.

The ECHO Rising Stars Festival, presented in partnership with the European Concert Hall Organisation, features a full day of concerts and performances including soprano Camila Mandillo alongside violinist Ava Bahari, cellist Petar Pejčić, and the Javus Quartett.
