Giancarlo Perbellini, chef of the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli presents “Preludio: Casa Perbellini before the Arena,” a menu specially designed for attendees of the 2024 Summer Season of the Verona Arena’s Lyric Festival.

Dining takes place 6:45 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday, during the festival, which runs June 7 – Sept. (except for Aug. 15 – Sept. 2). The festival lineup includes Puccini’s “Turandot” “Tosca,” and “La boheme,” Verdi’s “Aida,” Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” Bizet’s “Carmen,” and more. Anna Netrebko, Yusif Eyvazov, Luca Salsi, Jonas Kaufmann, Elena Stikhina, and Ludovic Tézier are among performers.

The restaurant shares the same stones with which the Verona Arena was built and where the cultural, musical, and civic history has taken place. Giancarlo Perbellini said in a press release, “the idea of arises from the desire to create a natural connection between Verona, the Arena, and Casa Perbellini 12 Apostoli.” He continues, “The doors of our ‘Home’ opens with the spirit of hospitality and conviviality to offer those who sit at our tables a unique experience where cuisine becomes the stage for a spectacle that renews itself every day. We want Casa Perbellini’s Preludio to leave, in those who try it, the same sensations and emotions as the notes of the immortal symphonies that will resonate inside the Arena.”
