The Semperoper Dresden has announced cast changes to tonight’s performance of Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.”

The company announced that Rafael Fingerlos will perform Figaro, replacing Davide Luciano; moreover, Diana Haller will step in as Rosina. Fingerlos will also sing the March 29 performance, which Luciano was originally slated to perform.

Haller has performed at the Staatsoper Stuttgart and is set to return to the company for “Ariadne auf Naxos” and “Norma.”

Meanwhile, Fingerlos recently performed in a production of “Ariadne auf Naxos” with the Semperoper Dresden and is set to return to the Wiener Staatsoper for “Il Barbiere di Siviglia.”

The two join a cast that includes Mert Süngü, Roberto Scandiuzzi, and Renato Girolami. Alessandro De Marchi conducts.

“Il Barbiere di Siviglia” runs through April 24, 2019.
