
Cast Change: Long Long & Galeano Salas Join Bayerische Staatsoper’s ‘La Bohème’
By Francisco SalazarThe Bayerische Staatsoper has announced a cast change for its production of “La Bohème.”
The company announced that Galeano Salas and Long Long will take over the last two performances on Dec. 23 and 26, replacing Stephen Costello.
Salas recently made his Teatro alla Scala debut and has performed at the Detroit Opera, Royal Danish Theatre, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Massimo di Palermo, and Teatro Verdi di Trieste. Meanwhile, Long Long has performed at The Metropolitan Opera, Semperoper Dresden, Bregenzer Festspiele, Bayerische Staatsoper and Staatsoper Berlin.
The two tenors will join a cast that includes Juliana Grigoryan, Sonya Yoncheva, Andrzej Filończyk, German Olvera, and Roberto Tagliavini. Nicola Luisotti conducts the production by Otto Schenk.
