
Cast Change: Johanna Wallroth Replaces Sabine Devieilhe at Berliner Philharmoniker

The Berliner Philharmoniker has announced a cast change for its Sept. 24 and 26 performances.
The orchestra said that “Unfortunately, for personal reasons, Sabine Devieilhe has had to withdraw from the Berliner Philharmoniker’s concerts featuring Mahler’s Second Symphony, conducted by Daniel Harding.
As a result, soprano role will be taken over by Johanna Wallroth, who will be making her debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker.
Wallroth is a Swedish soprano who has performed at leading opera houses including Wiener Staatsoper, Opernhaus Zürich and Glyndebourne Festival Opera. In concert she has performed at the Wiener Musikverein and Philharmonie de Paris
The soprano will perform alongside Marianne Crebassa.
