Cast Change: Gilda Fiume Replaces Sonya Yoncheva as Norma at Bayerische Staatsoper

Gilda Fiume will perform the title role of Norma at Bayerische Staatsoper on May 29. Fiume replaces Sonya Yoncheva.
The cast is rounded out by Najmiddin Mavlyanov as Pollione, Michael Butler as Flavio, Erwin Schrott as Oroveso, Emily Sierra in the role of Adalgisa, and Shannon Keegan as Clotilde. They are joined by the Chorus of the Bayerische Staatsoper. Jürgen Rose directs. Giacomo Sagripanti conducts the Bayerisches Staatsorchester.
Fiume’s repertoire includes roles such as Leonora (“Il trovatore”), Amina (“La sonnambula”), Donna Anna (“Don Giovanni”), Eleonora (“Torquato Tasso”), Marie (“La Fille du régiment”), Gilda (“Rigoletto”), Micaëla (“Carmen”), and Mrs. Ford (“Falstaff”), as well as the title roles in “Lucia di Lammermoor,” “Norma,” and “Maria de Rudenz.”
