
Cast Change: Fleur Barron Joins Cast of ‘One Morning Turns Into Eternity’

Salzburg Festival has announced a cast change for its production of “One Morning Turns Into An Eternity.”
The company revealed that Wiebke Lehmkuhl has withdrawn from her participation in the production due to family reasons. In her place, Fleur Barron will sing the vocal part in Mahler’s “Der Abschied.”
Barron is set to appear in the title role of Kaija Saariaho’s “Adriana Mater” at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. She is also set for performances with the Maggio Musicale, New York Philharmonic, Salzburg Easter Festival, RAI National Symphony Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Atlanta Symphony, among others.
“One Morning Turns Into Eternity” also features Schoenberg’s “Erwartung” with Ausrine Stundyte as well as “Five Pieces for Orchestra” by Webern. Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts the production with Peter Sellars directing.
The production premieres on July 27, 2025 with additional performances scheduled for August 2 -18.
