The Deutsche Oper Berlin has announced various cast changes for its productions.

The company said that Geon Kim takes over the role of Rodrigo from Andrè Schuen for performances on Jan. 11, 17, and 31, 2026.

Meanwhile, Jordan Shanahan will sing the role of Wotan in “Die Walküre” on May 17 and 27, 2026.

Finally for its production of “Madama Butterfly,” Thomas Lehman will sing the role of Sharpless taking over for Joel Allison on Feb. 20 and 23, 2026.

Kim joins a cast that includes Valentyn Dytiuk, Christina Nilsson, Karis Tucker, and Liang Li while Shanahan will sing alongside Matthew Newlin, Tobias Kehrer, Elisabeth Teige, Annika Schlicht, and Trine Møller.

Lehman will sing alongside Attilio Glaser, Karis Tucker, and Barno Ismatullaeva.
