The Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music has announced its 2024 programming.

The 62nd season kicks off with Cristian Măcelaru leading the world premiere of Karim Al-Zand’s “Al Hakawati,” an opera in progress –beginning at Cabrillo Festival and then move throughout the world. Soprano Miriam Khalil serves as soloist. Also on this program are works by composers Vivian Fung and Helen Grime.

Performance Date: August 2, 2024

This year’s festival runs July 29 – August 11 in Santa Cruz, CA.
