Bryn Terfel, Melinda Hughes, Federica Zanello Headline Lerici Music Festival 2022

The Lerici Music Festival has unveiled its 2022 season, which will be entitled “Percy Shelley 200: A Celebration of British Culture.”

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal performances.

Soprano Melinda Hughes and pianist Jeremy Limb will present an open air show at Rotonda Vassallo. The showcase will feature satire and song inspired by Byron and Shelley.

Performance Date: July 24, 2022

Next up, soloists from the Mascarade Emerging Artists will present Walton’s “The Bear” alongside the Orchestra dell’Opera Giocosa di Savona. Giulio Arnofi conducts and Ivan Leo Lemo directs.

Performance Date: August 4, 2022

Artist-in-residence Bryn Terfel appears in a performance featuring extracts from Verdi’s “Falstaff.” He is joined by Federica Zanello. Gianluca Marcianò conducts the Orchestra della Magna Grecia. The showcase is presented in co-production with the Istituzione Concertistica Orchestrale Magna Grecia.
