
Bryn Terfel, Lucy Crowe, Natalie Lewis, Guy Johnston Headline Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s 2026-27 Season

Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan opens his sixth season with Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection,” featuring the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir alongside soloists soprano Lucy Crowe and mezzo-soprano Natalie Lewis.
Performance Date: Oct. 1, 2026
Soprano Sarah Brady makes her debut with the Orchestra in Strauss’s “Four Last Songs,” conducted by Karel Deseure alongside Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade.”
Performance Date: Nov. 5, 2026
Liverpool Philharmonic’s 10:10 marks the 50th anniversary of Benjamin Britten’s death in a program conducted by Tess Jackson featuring mezzo-soprano Jess Dandy, alongside works by Composer in Focus Caroline Shaw, including “Entr’acte” and “Is a Rose.”
Performance Date: Nov. 11, 2026
Hindoyan’s Beethoven Festival culminates in Symphony No. 9 “Choral,” performed by the Orchestra and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir with soloists Lauren Fagan, Stephanie Maitland, Ed Lyon, and Roderick Williams. There will also be British Sign Language interpretation by Paul Whittaker.
Performance Date: Jan. 30, 2027
The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, directed by Matthew Hamilton, performs Händel’s “Messiah” with soloists Hilary Cronin, Katie Bray, Stuart Jackson, and James Platt.
Performance Date: March 20, 2027
Bass-baritone Bryn Terfel joins Hindoyan in a program of Schubert songs, alongside Kareem Roustom’s Aleppo Songs.
Performance Date: April 17, 2027
Soprano Melody Louledjian performs Poulenc’s “Stabat Mater” in a program conducted by Alena Hron, alongside music by Smetana, and Kaprálová.
Performance Date: May 8, 2027
The season closes with Orff’s “Carmina Burana,” bringing together the Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir, youth ensembles, and soloists Jenny Daviet, Adrian Dwyer, and Rory Musgrave, conducted by Hindoyan.
