Brooklyn Art Song Society Announces New Music Advisory Board

The Brooklyn Art Song Society has announced its new Music Advisory Board.

The organization revealed that soprano Laura Strickling, baritone Jorell Williams, and composers Katherine Balch and Lembit Beecher have become the new BASS Music advisors. The four artists will be engaged in devising the long-term plans for BASS’ New Voices Festival, as well as the new commissioning projects.

The Brooklyn Art Song Society will introduce the whole panel at BASS’ New Voices Virtual Meet and Greet on August 22, 2020, at 5 p.m. EST via Zoom.

The event is free and will be held exclusively for BASS’ Digital Concert Hall subscribers.

The company also recently announced a digital 2020-21 season which will place a great emphasis on the music of Franz Schubert.
