Bregenz Festival Announces 2022 Program

The Bregenz Festival in Austria has announced the 2022 season.

The festival will present Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” with Enrique Mazzola conducting a new production by Andreas Homoki.

Performance Dates: July 22-August 21, 2022

The second opera of the season will be Giordano’s rarely performed “Siberia.” Valentin Uryupin will conduct the opera with Vasily Barkhatov directing.

Performance Date: July 21, 2021

Orchestral Concerts 

The season will also include a number of concerts including the third Act of Wagner’s “Siegfried” with Andreas Schager, Greer Grimsley, Nadine Weissmann, and Ricarda Merbeth. Karina Canellakis conducts.

Performance Date: July 31, 2021

Tickets will go on sale on Oct. 4 and more information on casts will be announced in the coming months.
