Blake Denson Added to L2 Artists’ Roster

Baritone Blake Denson has joined the L2 Artists’ roster.

Denson will make sever debut performances this 2022-23 season. He will be heard in “La fanciulla del West” with the Bayerische Staatsoper singing the role of Larkens, with Staatsoper Hamburg’s new production of “Carmen” as Morales, and at the English National Opera as Donner in a new production of “Das Rheingold.”

In the States his debuts include the role of Schaunard in “La bohème” with the Washington National Opera and the roles of Angelotti in “Tosca” and Plutone in “Orfeo” at Santa Fe Opera. Denson will also be a featured soloist with the Paducah Symphony in Mahler’s “Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen.”

In 2022, Denson won a Zenith Opera Competition, the Richard Tucker – Sarah Tucker Grant Award, by the George London Foundation Competition, at the 59th International Concurs Tenor Viñas Competition, and won the Dallas Opera National Vocal Competition. He was also a Grand Finalist winner in the 2020 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions where he performed with Bertrand de Billy and The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
