Donald J. Trump Complains About Kennedy Center Ruling

By Francisco Salazar

After a judge ordered the board of the Kennedy Center to remove Donald Trump’s name, the U.S. President has announced that he will no longer close the performing arts center.

In a truth social post, the president said that he would be transferring all the power back to the congress so they could figure out what to do with the performing arts center.

The president also took time to insult the Democratic Party calling them “radical” and said that Judge Cooper, who made the decision to block the renaming of the Kennedy Center, should be ashamed.

Trump also took the time to say that he is the only president in the history to be treated so “unfairly” by the courts and that unless he was able to do what he wanted freely, he had no interest in the Kennedy Center any longer.

The social media post comes after, Roma Daravi, the Kennedy Center’s vice president of public relations, said the institution is “confident that on appeal the court will uphold the Board’s will to recognize President Trump’s historic contributions to our nation’s cultural center.”

On Friday, May 29, Judge Cooper ruled that the renaming of the Kennedy Center was illegal and must remove any signage from the Kennedy Center that includes Donald J. Trump’s name and update its website. Additionally, the judge said that the Center could not close for renovation.
