On April 20, the ABAO Bilbao Opera will showcase “Concierto de ABAO” featuring Opera and Zarzuela.

The gala will feature baritone Juan Jesús Rodríguez and soprano Graciela Moncloa in her house debut.  Maestro Manuel Burgueras leads the program, while actress Maite Marín narrates the evening.

The concert will include music by Leoncavallo, Puccini, and Verdi. Rodríguez will sing Tonio’s aria from “Pagliacci,” while Moncloa will sing “O Mio Babbino” from “Gianni Schicchi.” There will also be arias from “Don Carlo,” “Manon Lescaut,” and “Nabucco.” The Zarzuela portion will include music by José Serrano, Torroba, Chapí, and Sorozábal.
