Bilbao Opera Program Earns Nomination at New Medical Economics Awards 2024

The Bilbao Opera’s “Ópera y+” has been nominated in the category of humanities at the New Medical Economics Awards 2024.

The category honors professionals, programs, and resilient activities that strengthen positive attitudes when faced with sickness and provide a beneficial experience to patients. “Ópera y+” is a project with over 400 activities and 10,000 beneficiaries. It centers on patients and families with chronic diseases as well as attention to pediatric and neonatal care. The activities are realized in and out of the hospital and all of them are tied to the Bilbao Opera season.

“Ópera y+” as started in 2015.

The winner will be voted on via the awards organization’s official website with voting open until Sept. 30, 2024.
