Beth Morrison Projects & Trinity Church Wall Street Partner For 5 New Operas In 3 Years At PROTOTYPE FESTIVAL

The Beth Morrison Projects and Trinity Church Wall Street are teaming up together with the PROTOTYPE Festival to announce a multiple year partnership that will feature five world premieres of operas over the next three seasons. 

In 2021, the organizations will showcase Du Yun and Michael McQuilken’s “In Our Daughter’s Eyes,” starring Nathan Gunn. 

In 2022, audiences will check out Mary Kouyoudjian and Royce Vavrek’s “Adoration” will take centerstage for the first time, as will “Slaying of Innocence,” written by Ted Hearne and Halim Flowers; this latter piece will feature rap from Momolu Stewart. 

In 2023, audiences will check out Paola Prestini and Brenda Shaughnessy’s “Sensorium Ex as well as Julian Wachner and Royce Vavrek’s “Broadview Christ.” 

Also worthy of note is that the 2020 festival will showcase the NY premiere of Wachner and Cerise Jacob’s “REV. 23.”
