
Berkshire Opera Festival Announces New Appointments to Board & Staff
By David SalazarBerkshire Opera Festival (BOF) has announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors and a new staff appointment.
The company revealed that Christine Condaris and Roger Persell will join the board.
Condaris is a Professor of Music and former Chair of the Department of Fine & Performing Arts at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and brings more than four decades of experience as a pianist, choral conductor, educator, and arts administrator. She is also the co-founder of Northern Berkshire Creative Arts and the North Adams New Music Consort.
Meanwhile, Persell is a retired Professor of Biology and longtime opera enthusiast who currently serves on the board of the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center, where he helped establish the 2024 BOF–Mahaiwe Residency Agreement.
Additionally, the company has also appointed Sarah Prouty, a previous Program Associate at Berkshire Music School, as Community Engagement Officer.
