Berkshire Opera Festival Announces 2022 Season

The Berkshire Opera Festival has announced its 2022 season.

The company will present three productions in Great Barrington and Pittsfield, MA; and for the first time in the company’s history, Berkshire Opera Festival will bring performances to Chatham, NY.

The season will open with Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer’s “Three Decembers” with a cast that includes Adriana Zabala as Madeline Mitchell, Monica Dewey as Beatrice, and Theo Hoffman as Charlie. Christopher James Ray conducts the production by Beth Greenberg.

Performance Dates: July 21-23, 2022

Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” is set to star André Courville, Christian Zaremba, Laura Wilde, Joshua Blue, Joanna Latini, John Cheek, Natalia Santaliz, and Brian James Myer. Brian Garman conducts the production by Jonathon Loy.

Performance Dates: August 20-26, 2022

“High on the Ramparts: A Spotlight on Music of Black Composers” will showcase soprano Kearstin Piper Brown, tenor Joshua Blue, and pianist Travis Bloom.
