Benevolence Opera Project & Redwood Theatre to Present ‘Don Giovanni’

Benevolence Opera Project and Redwood Theatre will present a one-night-only performance of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” on Friday, May 22 at 8 p.m. at the Redwood Theatre in Toronto.

Canadian baritone Alexander Hajek takes the title role, joined by Luke Noftall as Leporello, James Coole-Stevenson as Masetto, Andrew Tees as Commendatore, Mary Ferrari as Donna Anna, Cameron Mazzei as Don Ottavio, Susan Elizabeth Brown as Donna Elvira, and Kathryn Rose Johnston as Zerlina.

Brahm Goldhamer serves as musical director and pianist, with Ryan Hofman as narrator and producer.

A pre-performance talk by Opera Canada’s Michael Jones begins at 7:15 p.m. The evening, which serves as a fundraiser in support of the Redwood Women’s Shelter, will also include raffle prizes.

Benevolence Opera Project is a newly founded organization dedicated to creating innovative, high-quality operatic experiences while fostering community engagement and supporting meaningful causes.
