The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced a cast change for its production of “Nabucco.”

The company said that Ekaterina Semenchik has canceled the complete run of performances of Verdi’s work.

The mezzo was set to perform from April 30 to May 9, in a total of four performances. As a result, Liudmyla Monastryska sang the first two and will sing the third performance on May 6 while Siaoa Hernandez will sing the final performance on May 9.

This is the latest cancelation for Semenchuk who also withdrew from the Bayreuth Festival’s opening night production of “Parsifal” and the Metropolitan Opera’s “La Forza del Destino.” She last performed on May 2 at the Mariinsky Theatre in a gala celebrating the Mariinsky II’s tenth anniversary. She next performs at the Teatro alla Scala and Arena di Verona.
