The Bayerische Staatsoper has announced a cast change for its “The Point of Reflection” gala.

The company announced that Adrianne Pieczonka will replace Anja Harteros in a scene from “Der Rosenkavalier.” Günther Groissböck has also been added to the lineup and will perform an aria from “Rusalka.”

Pieczonka will perform in the gala alongside Pavol Breslik, Diana Damrau, Alex Esposito, Elīna Garanča, Christian Gerhaher, Ermonela Jaho, Anja Kampe, Jonas Kaufmann, Wolfgang Koch, Anna Netrebko, Anne Sofie von Otter, Marlis Petersen, Anne Schwanewilms, Nina Stemme, Bryn Terfel, and Georg Zeppenfeld.

The gala will be streamed live on the company’s streaming platform.

Harteros is set to perform in “Tristan und Isolde” on July 31 in a livestreamed performance alongside Jonas Kaufmann.
