Bargemusic is set to present “At the River,” a recital featuring pianist Eliza Garth on June 23, 2023.

The program will showcase premieres by American composers, including the New York premiere of David Froom’s “Manna Variations” and the world premiere of Scott Wheeler’s “Beach Spring,” both specially commissioned for Garth.

The program will further include selected organ preludes by Brahms transcribed for piano by Busoni, as well as Frederick Tillis’ “Spiritual Fantasy.”

Accompanied by guest soprano Jamie Jordan, Garth will perform James Primosch’s “Three Popular Hymns.” Jordan has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Disney Hall, and Lincoln Center Festival and has collaborated with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the New York Philharmonic, among others.
