Bampton Classical Opera has unveiled the schedule for its upcoming Young Singers’ Competition 2025.

The public final for the event is set for Nov. 25, 2025 at the Leonard Wolfson Auditorium in Oxford. Each finalist will perform for 20 minutes, showcasing a repertory of opera and song. At least one work must be in English and another must be an 18th-century opera.

The first prize takes home £2,000 while the second prize nets £1,000. Finally, the Accompanists’ Prize gets the winner £750.

The jury includes tenor Bonaventura Bottone and mezzo-soprano Jean Rigby, as well as vocal coach Ingrid Surgenor.

Past winners of the biennial competition include Anna Starushkevych, Galina Averina, Emma Stannard, Lucy Anderson, Cassandra Wright, and Melissa Gregory.
