The Bamberg Symphony has announced a cast change for its upcoming concert.

The orchestra said Corinne Winters will be stepping in this week to perform Strauss’s “Vier letzte Lieder” with the Bamberger Symphoniker, replacing the soloist Genia Kühmeier, who has fallen ill.

The performances will be Winters’ debut of the beloved song cycle of Richard Strauss and will see the soprano reunite with conductor Jakub Hrůša, with whom she first collaborated with on her star-turning debut as “Káťa Kabanová” last summer at the Salzburg Festival. Performances commence in Bamberg and Fulda, with a final showcase in Vienna at the Musikverein; this latter presentation will be broadcast live on Medici TV.

Performances will be held on Feb. 23 in Bamberg, Feb. 24th in Fulda, and Feb. 26 in Vienna.
