Autunno Musicale Announces Fall 2021 Season

The Autunno Musicale in Treviso, Italy has announced its fall 2021 season.

The season begins with the inauguration gala at the Teatro Del Monaco starring Venezuelan soprano Inés Salazar. She will perform arias by Verdi and the verismo repertoire alongside the Orchestra Regionale Filarmonia Veneta and maestro Gerardo Felisatti.

There will also be the  presentation of the book “Opera 150,” written by Iorio Zennaro in the collaboration of Elena Filini, Carolina Pupo, Gilberto Mion, Giuliano Simionato and Edoardo Bottacin. The book will be published by Antiga Edizioni and dedicated to the history and chronology of the Teatro Comunale Mario Del Monaco.

There will also be events dedicated to the history of the theater which will retrace the “musical stories” of Treviso. The season will present two unpublished works by the Sartori family in the Concerto dell’Immacolata, entitled this year “Musica in Casa Sartori.” The concert will showcase Pietro Sartori’s Mass for three voices, chorus, two horns, double bass, and organ. Gaetan Nasato Tognè conducts the evening.

The second program will showcase the music of Andrea Luchesi, the “Mozart of Treviso” who became a Chapel Master in Bonn. The concert will feature soloists Maria Cristina Bellantuono, Eugenia Zuin, and Alberto Spadarotto. Alex Betto conducts.

Performance Date: Dec. 17, 2021

The Teatro Comunale Mario del Monaco will celebrate Paolo Trevisi for his work in theater. The evening will feature such soloists as Enza Ferrari and Cristiana Faricelli.
