Biography

Andres Soto is a Costa Rican composer based in Los Angeles. His concert music has been commissioned by orchestras and chamber ensembles in Costa Rica, USA, and Europe. He has written original music for 5 feature films, over 25 shorts and documentaries, and one video game. In 2018 he collaborated with Jeff Leiser in the orchestration of his opera “Far Travelers.” His most recent work, “Amalgama” received a honorable mention at the 2018 National Prize in Composition.
