Athlone Artists has announced that director Eve Summer has joined its roster.

Summer is set to direct a production of Menotti’s “The Last Savage” for Odyssey Opera in Spring of 2026. Additionally, throughout 2025-26, she is set to work with such organizations as Tulsa Opera, Opera Columbus, The Opera Institute at Boston University, Resonance Works, and Opera Grand Rapids.

Summer’s previous directing credits include appearances with the Glimmerglass Festival, the Princeton Festival, Boston Baroque, Curtis Opera Theatre, Tulsa Opera, Opera Carolina, Opera Columbus, Opera Saratoga, Opera Orlando, Opera Tampa, Knoxville Opera, Opera Grand Rapids, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, among others.

Trained in theater and dance, Summer is also an accomplished choreographer, whose credits include work with Des Moines Metro Opera, Boston Opera Collaborative, Opera Saratoga, and Opera Colorado.

She joins a roster that includes such artists as Maria Brea, Marianne Cornetti, Chuck Hudson, Gil Rose, Markel Reed, Natalia Santaliz, Bruce Sledge, Jonathan Woody, and Nathan Troup.
