
Rebecca Myers Joins Athlone Artists
By Francisco SalazarSoprano Rebecca Myers has joined Athlone Artists for general management.
Myers, who grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Westminster Choir College, is set perform with Portland Baroque Orchestra, Seraphic Fire, and The Crossing throughout this season.
The soprano is also the Artistic Director, and a founding soprano, of the vocal chamber ensemble Variant 6 with whom she curates programs of virtuosic and obscure works.
Myers was recently featured in the world premiere and recording of Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg’s “Any of Those Decembers” for four solo voices, string quartet, and piano with Lyric Fest. She also performed the soprano soloist in “Carmina Burana” with the New World Symphony under Patrick Dupré Quigley as well as such operas as Rameau’s “Castor et Pollux” and Philip Lasser’s “The Mask in the Mirror.”
