Atalla Ayan, Michael Volle, Franz Hawlata, Evelyn Herlitzius, Claudia Muschio & Anna Princeva Lead Staatsoper Stuttgart’s 2025-26 Season

The Staatsoper Stuttgart has announced its 2025-26 season.

Premieres 

Sebastian Schwab conducts “I Did it My Way” by Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra. Ivo van Hove directs a cast that includes  Lars Eidinger and Larissa Sirah Herden.

Performance Dates: Sept. 26-28, 2025


Janáček’s “The Cunning Little Vixen” will get a new production by Stephan Kimmig. Ariane Matiakh conducts a cast that includes Claudia Muschio, Ida Ränzlöv, Paweł Konik, Deborah Saffery, Moritz Kallenberg, Andrew Bogard, and Michael Nagl.

Performance Dates: Nov. 9-Dec. 10, 2025


Martin Gantner, Michael Volle, David Steffens, Franz Hawlata, Daniel Behle, Kai Kluge, Esther Dierkes, Maria Theresa Ullrich, Michael Nagl, and Goran Jurić star in Wagner’s “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg.” Cornelius Meister conducts the production by Elisabeth Stöppler.

Performance Dates: Feb. 7-March 22, 2026


Poulenc’s “Dialogues des carmélites” will star Rachael Wilson, Evelyn Herlitzius, Simone Schneider, Diana Haller, Claudia Muschio, and Shigeo Ishino. Cornelius Meister and Luka Hauser star in Ewelina Marciniak’s production.

Performance Dates: March 29-April 18, 2026


“Station Paradiso” will star Goran Jurić, Josefin Feiler, Andrew Bogard, Diana Haller, Joseph Tancredi, Fanie Antonelou, Marie Fischer, and Martina Mikelić. Peter Rundel conducts the production by Anika Rutkofsky.

Performance Dates: May 10-June 21, 2026


Ewa Vesin, Goran Jurić, Adam Palka, Ivan Gyngazov, and Esther Dierkes star in Puccini’s “Turandot” in a new production by Anna-Sophie Mahler. Valerio Galli conducting.
