Arte Concert to Stream ‘Turandot’ from the Teatro Alla Scala with Anna Netrebko
By Francisco SalazarThe Tetro alla Scala’s new production of Puccini’s “Turandot” is set to be streamed on Arte concert.
The company announced that the new production by David Livermore which is celebrating the centenary of the death of Puccini, will be broadcast on July 4, 2024.
The broadcast will coincide with the stream on the Teatro alla Scala TV which will be available on the company’s platform until July 11, 2024.
The opera is set to star Anna Netrebko, Raúl Giménez, Vitalij Kowaljow, Yusif Eyvazov, and Rosa Feola. Michele Gamba conducts the new production.
The new production will use the original version of the finale by Franco Alfano, who was commissioned by Toscanini to complete the score, based on notes left by Puccini.
“Turandot” is completely sold out and opens on June 25 and runs through July 15, 2024.
