Arena di Verona Announces Jonas Kaufmann’s Program

The Arena di Verona has announced the program for Jonas Kaufmann’s gala performance on August 20, 2023.

The program will showcase Kaufmann alongside frequent collaborators Sonya Yoncheva and Ludovic Tezier. Jochen Rieder conducts the evening.

The concert will include excerpts from Puccini’s “Tosca,” Verdi’s “Otello,” Giordano’s “Andrea Chenier,” Lehar’s “Giuditta” Bizet’s “Carmen, “Leoncavallo’s “Mattinata” Curtis’ “Non ti scordar di me,” Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann,” Lehar’s “Das Land des Lächelns,” Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” Morricone’s “The Mission,” and Zimmer’s “Gladiator.”

The program will be recorded by C Major Entertainment in HD.

The gala will mark the return of Jonas Kaufmann to the Arena di Verona after his performance as Radamès in “Aida” in 2022.
