The Arena di Verona has announced the full program for Jonas Kaufmann’s August 3, 2025, gala.

The company said that for one night only, Kaufmann will perform music by Wagner and Puccini alongside soprano Marina Rebeka. Maestro Jochen Rieder will take the baton to conduct the Fondazione Arena Orchestra.

The program will include overtures, arias, intermezzi, scenes, and duets. The program will open with music from “Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg” followed by music from “Tannhäuser” and “Lohengrin.”

The second half will include Rebeka and Kaufmann singing the duet from Act II of “Manon Lescaut,” which has only been heard at the arena with Placido Domingo and Magda Olivero in 1970. The concert will close with music from “Madama Butterfly.”

Kaufmann has performed at the Arena di Verona in 2021 and 202, including in a production of “Aida.” Rebeka is set to perform “Aida” in Verona for the first time in Italy.
