The Arena di Verona has announced a cast change for its production of “Rigoletto.”

The company said that soprano Giulia Mazzola will make her debut as Gilda on July 7 replacing Nina Minasyan who was originally scheduled.

Mazzola recently performed at the Teatro Regio di Parma as as well as at the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.

She is set to join a cast that includes Ludovic Tézier, Yusif Eyvazov, Valeria Girardello, and Gianluca Buratto. Marco Armiliato conducts the new production by Antonio Albanese.

Minasyan is set to return to the production for a single performance on July 20, 2023 when she will perform with Juan Diego Flórez and Luca Salsi.
