Anna Pirozzi Leads Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s ‘Tosca’

The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to present Puccini’s “Tosca” from Dec. 9 through 14, 2023.

The opera will be shown in a production by Alessandro Talevi and conducted by Michele Mariotti.

Anna Pirozzi will sing the title role with Fabio Sartori as Cavaradossi. Erwin Schrott and Amartuvshin Enkhbat share the role of Scarpia.

Pirozzi has performed at the Royal Opera House, Salzburg Festival, Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper, and Teatro alla Scala while Sartori, who is a winner of the Premio Pavarotti d’oro 2022, has performed at the Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro alla Scala, and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Schrott is an Operalia winner who has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera, and Wiener Staatsoper. Enkhbat is a rising star in the opera world who has performed at the Arena di Verona, Metropolitan Opera, Teatro Regio di Parma, and Wiener Staatsoper.
