Anna Netrebko & Yusif Euvazov to Perform ‘Il Trovatore’ in Hungary

By Francisco Salazar

Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov are set to appear in a concert performance of “Il Trovatore” at the Hungarian State Opera.

The performance will take place on Feb. 2 at the Locomotive Hall of the Eiffel Art Studios. They will be joined by Mihály Kálmándy and Ildikó Komlósi, both acclaimed soloists of the Hungarian State Opera. Denis Vlasenko will conduct the Hungarian State Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

The performances mark the return of Netrebko and Eyvazov to the Hungarian State Opera where they have performed with the company on many occasions including in August 2017 in a televised gala at Berlin’s Waldbühne, “Andrea Chénier” in December 2017 at the Erkel Theatre and in 2021 at Müpa in a performance of “Tosca.”

In September 2022, the Russian soprano also gave a recital at the Opera House, and in July, the OPERA Orchestra accompanied them at the VeszprémFest.
