Anna Netrebko is set to return to the Mariinsky Theatre for a performance of Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin.”

The soprano will appear on Sept. 18 alongside an all-star cast that includes Alexei Markov, Sergei Skorokhodov, Ekaterina Semenchuk, and Mikhail Petrenko.

The production marks the return of Netrebko to the role of Tatiana, which she has performed at the Opéra de Paris, Metropolitan Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, and Bayerische Staatsoper.

It also marks the soprano’s return to the Russian opera house where she recently performed in “Macbeth,” “Adriana Lecouvreur,” “Aida,” “Il Trovatore,” and “Lohengrin.”

This season, Netrebko opens the Bolshoi Theatre in “Don Carlo” and returns to the Gran Teatre del Liceu for “Il Trovatore.” She also headlines a concert for the Metropolitan Opera’s Live Concert Series.
