Anna Netrebko To Make Arena Di Verona Debut

Anna Netrebko has announced she will make her debut at the Arena di Verona.

Together with general manager and artistic director Cecilia Gasdia and Yusif Eyvazov, Netrebko announced that she will sing in Franco Zeffirelli’s production of “Il Trovatore” during the 2019 Festival.

Netrebko has won over Italian audiences over the past years singing at the Teatro alla Scala and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma as well as with the Orchestra of Santa Cecilia. She has also made “Il Trovatore” a signature role performing it at the Metropolitan Opera, Berlin State Opera, Salzburg Festival, Mariinsky Theatre, Opera National de Paris, and Vienna State Opera.

The Arena di Verona just began its season with “Carmen” and is set to present “Aida,” “Turandot,” and “Nabucco.”

Netrebko and Eyvzaov will perform three performances on June 29, July 4 and 7, 2019.
