On Dec. 13, the Wiener Staatsoper is set to broadcast Puccini’s “Tosca.”

The live performance will be performed without an audience and will star Anna Netrebko in her company role debut. The diva will be joined by Yusif Eyvazov in the role of Cavaradossi and Wolfgang Koch as Scarpia.

The performance will be conducted by Bertrand de Billy in a production by Margarethe Wallmann.

Audiences can view “Tosca” on ORF III or listen on RADIO Ö1 at 19:00.

Netrebko is well known for her interpretation of Tosca, which she has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Teatro alla Scala, and Teatro San Carlo di Napoli. She is set to reprise the role in 2021 at the Teatro Real de Madrid and the Royal Opera House.
