Anja Harteros has canceled her recital at the Bayerische Staatsoper on July 19, 2022.
The recital, which was sold out and was also set to feature pianist Wolfram Rieger, was part of the company’s Munich Opera Festival and Festival Song Recital series.
The cancelation is the latest for the soprano who recently withdrew from performances at the Deutsche Oper Berlin in a production of “Andrea Chenier” and Verdi’s “Otello” at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
The soprano is set to return to the Bayerische Staatsoper stage for productions of “Un Ballo in Maschera,” “Manon Lescaut” “Otello,” “Tristan und Isolde,” and a recital during the 2022-23 season. She is also set to revive a production of Verdi’s “Il Trovatore at the Opernhaus Zurich.
